EXOHERD is an agricultural operations application and service operated by Zgornji Zavratnik d.o.o., Slovenia (“EXOHERD”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, used, stored, disclosed and protected when you use the EXOHERD Android application and the EXOHERD website.
This policy applies to EXOHERD and to exoherd.com. It clearly explains the privacy practices of the released product in one place.
1. Information handled by EXOHERD
Depending on the features you use, EXOHERD may handle the following categories of information:
- Farm and business information, such as farm name, sectors, operational records, income, expenses, tasks and reports.
- Livestock information, such as animal or herd records and related farm-management data.
- Field and land information, including field names, boundaries, areas, work history, crop or land-use information and notes.
- Machinery and inventory information, if you choose to use those modules.
- Location information, when you use GPS, field mapping, measurement, machine-guidance or other location-dependent features.
- Device and technical information that may be necessary for app functionality, diagnostics, security or compatibility, such as Android version, device model, app version and technical error information where diagnostic services are enabled.
- Support communications, if you contact us by email or another support channel.
2. How information is obtained
Most operational information in EXOHERD is entered, created or generated by you while using the app. Location information is obtained from your device only when required by a location-based feature and subject to Android permission controls.
3. Location data
EXOHERD uses location to provide user-requested agricultural functions such as GPS positioning, field mapping, field-boundary work, distance or area measurement, and machine-guidance functionality.
EXOHERD requests only the level of location access required for the feature being used. Location access is not used for advertising. If a released version of EXOHERD requires location while the app is not visible on screen, EXOHERD will provide any additional in-app disclosure and permission flow required by Google Play and Android before that access is used.
You can control location permissions through Android settings. Disabling location may prevent GPS, guidance, mapping and related features from working correctly.
4. Purposes for using information
Information may be used to:
- provide the features and calculations requested by the user;
- store, display and organize farm records;
- provide field mapping, measurement and guidance functions;
- generate operational, financial and yearly reports;
- maintain, troubleshoot and secure the app;
- respond to support, privacy and deletion requests;
- comply with legal obligations where applicable.
5. Local storage, servers and synchronization
EXOHERD may store application data on the user’s device. If a version of EXOHERD introduces cloud synchronization, online accounts, remote backups or other server-side storage, the applicable data flows and service providers will be described in this policy before or when those features are made available.
You should maintain your own appropriate backups of important farm records unless EXOHERD explicitly states that a particular backup or synchronization feature is being provided.
6. Sharing and disclosure
EXOHERD does not sell personal information. Information is not shared with advertisers for targeted advertising.
Information may be disclosed only when reasonably necessary:
- to service providers that process information on our behalf to operate, host, secure, diagnose or support EXOHERD;
- to comply with law, legal process, regulatory obligations or enforceable governmental requests;
- to protect the rights, safety, property or security of EXOHERD, our users or others;
- as part of a legitimate corporate transaction such as a merger, restructuring or transfer of the service, subject to applicable law.
7. Third-party services
Some app or website functions may rely on third-party platform, mapping, hosting, network, distribution or diagnostic services. Those services may process technical information according to their own privacy terms. EXOHERD is responsible for describing material third-party processing used by the released application and will update this policy when such processing changes materially.
8. Data retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant app function, the user’s own recordkeeping, support, security, legal obligations or dispute resolution. Data stored only on your device remains subject to your device and app controls.
9. Data deletion
Where EXOHERD provides in-app deletion controls, you can use those controls to delete applicable records. You may also contact us at support@exoherd.com to request assistance with privacy or deletion matters.
If a future version of EXOHERD introduces user accounts, account-deletion options and deletion of associated server-side account data will be provided in accordance with applicable Google Play requirements and law.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or alteration. No application, storage system or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Children
EXOHERD is a professional agricultural operations tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. European Economic Area, GDPR and legal bases
Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation or similar law applies, Zgornji Zavratnik d.o.o. may act as the controller of personal information processed for operation of the service, support and website administration.
Depending on the context, processing may be based on:
- performance of a contract or steps requested by the user;
- our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving EXOHERD;
- compliance with legal obligations;
- consent, where applicable law requires consent.
13. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information; to restrict or object to its processing; to request data portability; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

14. International processing
If information is processed outside your country through a service provider, we will use appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law.
15. Website privacy
When you visit exoherd.com, the hosting and network infrastructure may process ordinary web-request data such as IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps and security-related metadata in order to deliver and protect the website.
If analytics, cookies or similar tracking technologies are added to the website in the future, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated accordingly.
16. No sale of user data and no advertising use of location
EXOHERD does not sell user data. Precise or approximate location obtained for agricultural functionality is not used for advertising purposes.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when EXOHERD changes, when new modules or third-party services are introduced, or when legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
